Monografia wieloautorska poświęcona problematyce tłumaczenia polskiego języka migowego (PJM) obejmuje trzynaście artykułów podejmujących tematy dotychczas nieporuszane w dyskusji wokół przekładu PJM. Omówiono w niej wyzwania na początkowych etapach kariery zawodowej tłumacza, sojusznictwo tłumaczy względem społeczności Głuchych, specyfikę przekładu literackiego, superwizję, techniczne aspekty pracy zdalnej czy feedback. Zarówno poszczególne teksty, jak i tom jako całość reprezentują nowoczesne podejście do zagadnień translatoryki migowej, w ujęciu teoretycznym i praktycznym. ****** The Interpreting of the PJM for Beginners. Theory and Practice The multi-author monograph dedicated to the issues of interpreting Polish Sign Language (PJM) contains thirteen articles addressing the subjects which have not been raised before in the debate on the interpreting of the PJM. It discusses the challenges of the initial steps of the interpreter’s professional career, alliance of interpreters towards the Deaf community, specificity of the literary translation, supervision, technical aspects of the remote work, and feedback. Both the individual texts and the volume as a whole represent a modern approach to the issue of the sign language translation studies from the theoretical and the practical perspective.
