To develop a better "intermediate" level of certification between the EMT-Basic and EMT-Paramedic, the Department of Transportation created the EMT-Intermediate curriculum. The function of the EMT-I is to provide basic and advanced life support medical and traumatic emergencies. Whether being used in preparation for National Registry, regional, state or city examinations, EMT-I PreTest serves as the idealinstrument for self-assessment and review. 420 multiple-choice questions in exam format have correct answers with detailed rationales referenced to current textbooks.
